Q: How much granulate is consumed during a cleaning?
A: A 4-cylinder engine inlet cleaning consumes 5 to 10 kg of walnut granulate, depending on the severity of the contamination.
Q: Is the walnut granulate reusable after cleaning?
A: It is strongly discouraged to re-use the walnut granules. This is because the carbon build-up in the granulate particles will clog the compressed air container and valves internally, this is impossible to remove.
Q: Is walnut granulate harmful if it enters the combustion chamber?
A: One or two grains accidentally finding their way into the cylinders is not yet harmful. The granulate grain is of such hardness that it cannot affect both the piston and the cylinder wall. The grain is burned at the first labor stroke and is discharged via the exhaust valves.
Q: Is It necessary to use brand specific adapters?
A: It is possible to use the universal adapter, however a brand specific adapter gives many advantages and is a lot easier use. The extraction hose will not detach from the inlet port and no granulate will spill into the engine bay.
